So far I love it!!! Love love love it! Except, it’s stated it goes up to 45 miles in one charge. I charged it to 100%(5 bars), then took a 15 mile ride. After that ride the bike was at 80%(4 bars). The next day went on another 15 mile ride except it died on me around mile 13-14. I was peddling and using the throttle throughout both rides. And it was at 80% when I started the ride. It was not a fun 1-2 miles back pushing the bike because it’s too heavy to ride as a normal bike! I still love the bike and now I just charge it after every 15-20 miles just in case! I’ve ridden 160 miles and around mile 90 I noticed the back tire wasn’t as hard as the front one or as it used to be. This is my first ebike so I just figured it was normal since my weight is on the bike. Well around Mille 150, I went over a bump and it felt different, turns out the tire was going completely flat. Luckily the gas station was just a few blocks away. And then my house was a few more blocks away. I parked it at my house and a few hours later, the back tire was flat again. I took it into the bike shop the next day and they told me I had a high pressure leak! Not sure if it’s my fault or the fat tire fault. But figured I’d share!

Fantastic bike. The build quality is good the bike handles really well. I use it 5 days a week for my commute. My next bike will definitely be a rad.

The bike is very quick, the battery has a typical range of about 30 miles (I am a husky guy and use throttle a lot). I put the Cloud9 seat from the other bike on mine. The LCD upgrade works well, sometimes the numbers flicker. It takes no effort to get the motor going and i have 170 miles on it. I rarely fold it but if i want to take some bike trails i will have to drive to them. The step thru also makes it easy, and REI put a bottle holder on it for me.

A lot of big features in a small package. I'm loving the way the Expand5 handles, and the portability is a big plus. I also have a Rad Rover ST, and while I also love that bike, it's a lot of bike for me to handle alone. My motivation for getting the Expand5 was to be able to transport it without the help of my spouse. It has lived up to the task. Thanks!

I bought this bike to keep up with my son, but its such a great bike he wanted to use it! It folds up nicely and I can fit it into my car.

Absolutely LOVE the new E-5 !!! Previously I had a lager frame other Brand German e bike for a couple of years - street only. Then I got my first Rad-Mini (used) - 1200 miles later I had found my groove - I live on the Florida coast and on a golf course. I ride at least 5 miles a day and it is 85 % off the road, on the golf course, along the water. I have an extremely active Jack Russell Terrier (Bandit) that runs and or rides with me all the time. (He stands at the bike and barks went he wants to go run) keeps me in good shape. Then I sold the Mini (for the same $ I paid for it) and bought a new Mini - same routine, only more road trips, and I gave my Mini to a friend for the weekend, to try it … Cathy Wenner - she bought 2 Mini’s from you. We ride together most every day. I put 1600 miles on Mini # 2 and then sold it (for MORE than I paid) and bought the new Expand 5 (Cathy bought an Expand 5 also). Having now almost 3000 miles of on and off road riding has made me both a fan and challenger - I like to ride and push the bikes hard to perform. What an amazing difference on the Expand 5 …… smaller - lighter - and much more stable and maneuverable ! It has a lot MORE FEEL. I love to carve turns at speed (16 to 20 mph) on the golf course. Dog runs at top speed, or tides in the carrier, zip tied to the rear rack. WE LOVE THOSE RIDES EVERY EARLY EVENING - every day. …. I can not say enough about the quality and FEEL of the Rad Express 5 !!!! I already have 125 miles on it and have had NO ISSUES. Cathy showed the Rad Expand 5 to two other friends and they both bought new Expand 5’s (I put them both together) they are both riding and ENJOYING - - - I am growing the family here 👍🙏 - thanks for building a great machine and caring !!! Your Customer Service People are AMAZING. They must have many notes on all my calls ….. keep it coming …… I am looking for an e trike for a friend, not able ride 2 wheels. Any ideas ??? Thanks - Randy & Bandit 👍

Almost every afternoon I’ll take it for a 20 to 30 mile ride. A lot of fun and very relaxing.

Now that I have the step through I much perfer it to the regular sized Rad fat bike that I also own. It is much easier to get on and off with my arthritis issues. The lighter weight I can also lift it to the car rack without assistance.
